L'chaim is a branch of Yeshivas Lubavitch Manchester.

Our mission at L'chaim Outreach is to strengthen Jewish identity and observance in Greater Manchester by implementing programmes and supporting over 35 existing organisations and synagogues. We are a branch of Yeshivas Lubavitch Manchester, and our student volunteers are always ready to share their knowledge of our rich heritage and love for every Jew on an ongoing basis and as holiday and lifecycle events arise.

Our Mitzvah Tank is a warm oasis of Torah and Mitzvos, a holy respite from the daily grind where people can schmooze and connect.

We offer one-on-one learning sessions during the day in bustling business districts throughout Greater Manchester.

We also visit remote communities and isolated Jews in far-flung locations, conducting Shabbatons and other such activities, serving as a literal lighthouse of Judaism. As one participant put it, “it’s like Elijah the Prophet coming to your house”.

During the evenings, we are at theforefront of care for our teens at risk, picking up vulnerable Jewish teenagers, speaking to their souls, and returning them to their respective homes. We have also become an icon of traditional, vibrant and non judgmental Judaism at Jewish events.
